BCI - Better Cotton Initative
At ISAY we aim to move the fibers in our clothes to more sustainable alternatives. Therefore we are very proud of being a member of BCI – Better Cotton Initiative.
At present, 67% of our cotton consumption consists of cotton made from BCI cotton and organic cotton. Our goal for 2025 is that our purchases of cotton should consist of 80% more BCI cotton and organic cotton. The clothes are made of cotton fibers, which are long, strong, and soft, which makes the clothes long-lasting and extremely comfortable to wear.
BCI cotton is:
- Better for the people involved
- Better for the environment
- Better for the future
The Better Cotton Initiative is a non-profit organisation that works to provide training with farmers on how to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil and natural habitats, reduce use of the most harmful chemicals and respect the rights and wellbeing of workers.
BCI Cotton is sourced via a system of "Mass-Balance" and can not necessarily be traced in the end product.

Being a member of BCI is one of many steps in our strategy of sustainable initiatives. As one out of five members of BCI in Denmark, we are proud to be part of the movement which is transforming the cotton industry.
